Christmas Party & Gift Exchange

Hello Dear Friends~

Hoping all of you are enjoying this wonderful Holiday and that you are done with all your shopping and all the chores of the season and are able to have some time to have the needle in hand to relieve the stress!! I have been stitching, punching and hooking when ever I can!

The annual Christmas party was Dec 11th at the lovely La Pizzeria, delicious food with the most wonderful friends ever!! The hand made gifts were just awesome, so much talent in this group. Please click on the first picture to see every detail with the very largest picture.

Happy Halloween!

Here it is already, October 31st, wow! This month really went by fast. Thought you might enjoy seeing some of my Halloween Decor, one of my FAVORITE times of the year to decorate. It has been fun buying Halloween pieces through the years from other artists, you can never have too much Halloween stash......right????

Road Trip with JoAnn, Bethany and Ella

Hello Dear Friends~

For those of you in the sampler world, many of you are familiar with the famous sampler makers, JoAnn Huffman and her lovely daughter, Bethany Gallant. Bethany is in town from Florida, visiting her Dear Mother, JoAnn. 

Bethany just finished the sampler, Mary Ann McDonald, it is so amazing. Beautiful stem stitching and lots of it. She has her name and her Mom's name on it and also My Scarlett Year 2014. The 4 of us drove up to Just Stitching, in Strongsville, OH to the best needlework framer, Bonnie. She does all of JoAnn's and Bethany's framing.

Next stop was Crafty Ewe for some linen, she has a HUGE selection, along with everthing else you might need. We met up with Rose Kotnik and her sweet friend, Bobby and went to lunch at Creekside, delicious food and surrounded windows that gave us wonderful views of the the colorful trees, I felt like I was in a tree house!! There was some serious laughing going on there!!! 

Then on our way home, we stopped at Pav's, a creamery that makes all their own ice cream, they have been voted Best Ice Cream for several years!!! We enjoyed watching the dog eating a cone that his owner bought for him....... we enjoyed ours too.

I am so Blessed to have JoAnn and Bethany and Ella, as friends, they inspire me with their love of needlework. Love our road trips so much!!!

Birthday Gift for JoAnn

Hello Dear Friends~

I wanted to share with you this needle punch I made for my dear long time friend, JoAnn. This is a design by Buttermilk Basin. I picked out all the colors as well. Used dmc, 6 threads and set my needle on 2. Made it into a pocket, and my son Noah picked some goldenrod for me, as JoAnn loves goldenrod. Also made a fabric tag that read; Thanks for making the journey so much more sweeter..... JoAnn and I have been friends for 20+ years, I love her so much!!! Hoping you are enjoying these beautiful Indian Summer days we are having!

Hello Dear Friends~~

Yesterday I attended a Ft Laurens rug hook in at a church in Navarre, Ohio. What a great day, as 5 friends and I met up for a fun day of hooking, lunch, more hooking and shopping with the vendors. I had my camera, planning to take lots of pictures while I was there. Needless to say, I was so busy hooking, laughing with my friends and shopping, I forgot to take any pictures!!! Oh well.... so here is a picture (taken today) of the new rug I started called "'Frosty".  Only 12 x 12, but oh so sweet with a hit and miss border. Can't wait to see the final result.

~Noah's 18th Birthday~

Hello Dear Friends~

My Dear Son Noah turned 18 today! It seems with just a blink of the eye he was just a baby and the next blink, he was 18. Through all the ups and downs of parenting a teenager there are so many changes, but the one thing that is always constant and never changes is just how much I love Noah. He is truly a gift from God as it seemed I was not going to be able to have a child, but in God's timing, he Blessed me with a son!!
